Q: Is there a minimum donation amount that you will accept?
A: We gladly accept donations in any amount and greatly appreciate your support.
Q: Can I donate over time?
A: Many of our donors pledge an annual amount, up to five years. If you have a total in mind and would like to spread your donation, simply indicate this on the pledge form accessible from the donor page.
Q: To whom should I make my donation payable?
A: Friends of Fidalgo Pool, a 501(c)3 entity. You will receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.
Q: Where are my donations held?
A: Until the full project funding requirement is met, all donations are held in escrow in the Friends investment account. Funds would begin being used once full funding is attained.
Q: How can I assist the giving campaign?
A: If you’d like to make a contribution to the capital campaign, you can write a check to Friends of Fidalgo Pool and Fitness Center and note on the check that your contribution is for the new pool capital campaign, then mail it to the pool at: Friends of Fidalgo Pool and Fitness Center, 22nd Street, Anacortes, WA 98221

Also, part of our focus now is donor outreach. If there are friends or associates that you believe might be interested in giving, please forward their information through the Contact facility on the web site. We will reach out to them. Finally, advocacy is a powerful force in a small community such as ours. Getting the word out and expressing the need for an updated facility for future generations in conversation or letters to the newspaper helps tremendously.
